Bountiful Grey County: Our Agricultural Heritage

September 20, 2014 - May 24, 2015
Bountiful Grey County explores our integral ties to the land through time and seasons. Since the beginning of human habitation, the rich fertile soil of Grey has provided us with a plentiful harvest which has allowed us to grow and prosper. Each season, and its part in the cycle of growth and harvest, is highlighted in this exhibit. Both contemporary and First Nations artefacts, as well as life-sized livestock, show some of the supports farmers and the First Nations people have had in working the land. Other important aspects of Grey County’s agricultural story, such as bee-keeping and maple syrup production, are featured in the exhibit.
